Please let me make this perfectly clear to all, I am not, nor do I claim to be, a doctor. I do, however, have very up close and personal knowledge and familiarity about Alzheimer’s disease. My loving wife of 55 years passed away with it. For the last two years of her life, I was her 24 hour per day care-giver. She was 72 years of age.
I’m addressing this issue because I have a real concern that millions of people are planning on voting for a man to be president of these United States of America who has Alzheimer’s disease, simply because he is a Democrat or they may not like his opponent.
Speaking from my years of dealing with it as a care-giver, not as a doctor, I feel certain that Joe Biden is already in the moderate (middle) to severe (late) stages of this dreadful disease, and it is advancing pretty rapidly. His problem is not his age, but the following.
The following is taken directly from John Hopkins Medical, defining the symptoms of the disease:
The stages of Alzheimer disease usually follow a progressive pattern. But each person moves through the disease stages in his or her own way. Knowing these stages helps healthcare providers and family members make decisions about how to care for someone who has Alzheimer disease.
Pre-clinical stage. Changes in the brain begin years before a person shows any signs of the disease. This time period is called pre-clinical Alzheimer disease and it can last for years.
Mild, early stage. Symptoms at this stage include mild forgetfulness. This may seem like the mild forgetfulness that often comes with aging. But it may also include problems with concentration.
A person may still live independently at this stage, but may have problems:
- Remembering a name
- Recalling recent events
- Remembering where he or she put a valuable object
- Making plans
- Staying organized
- Managing money
The person may be aware of memory lapses and their friends, family or neighbors may also notice these difficulties.
Moderate, middle stage. This is typically the longest stage, usually lasting many years. At this stage, symptoms include:
- Increasing trouble remembering events
- Problems learning new things
- Trouble with planning complicated events, like a dinner
- Trouble remembering their own name, but not details about their own life, such as address and phone number
- Problems with reading, writing, and working with numbers
As the disease progresses, the person may:
- Know that some people are familiar, but not remember their names, or forget the names of a spouse or child
- Lose track of time and place
- Need help choosing the right clothing, getting dressed, and with daily activities, such as brushing teeth
- Become moody or withdrawn, or have personality changes, such as hallucinations, paranoia, or delusions
- Be restless, agitated, anxious, or tearful, especially in the late afternoon or at night
Physical changes may occur as well. Some people have sleep problems. Wandering away from home is often a concern.
Severe, late stage. At this stage, a person:
- Loses many physical abilities, including walking, sitting, eating.
- May lose bowel and bladder control
- May be able to say some words or phrases, but not have a conversation
- Needs help with all activities all of the time
- Is unaware of recent experiences and of his or her surroundings
- Is more likely to get infections, especially pneumonia.
If you plan on voting for this poor man for president, ask yourself, would I hire a baby sitter who has Alzheimer’s? Would I take my children to a day care center operated by a person with Alzheimer’s? Would I trust a person to house sit the security of my house while away on vacation? Would I hire a financial consultant to manage my financial affairs who suffers with Alzheimer’s? Would I hire a person with Alzheimer’s to care for my elderly parents?
Please give this some very serious consideration before hiring this person to secure our country and our safety, and protect our constitution. Folks, this has nothing at all to do with politics or Joe Biden’s age. It has EVERYTHING TO DO WITH HIS MENTAL DETERIORATION AND THE WELL BEING OF THE FUTURE OF OUR COUNTRY! Why would any rational, clear thinking American hire this man, or any other with such a mental condition, to be our president? Political party or Country, which is the most important?
Please pass this to as many people as you possibly can by which ever means you may choose.
Thank you:
