MUSINGS FOR JUNE, 2024
Pamphleteer Rick Kiesz of Idaho has scored again with this timely article. And speaking of “timely,” nothing was more appropriately published than his “Justice in America is a Fantasy” (seen on these pages below) written only days before the Donald Trump court travesty in New York.
The News Media is the most unethical vocation in the United States.
That begs the question — Who owns and controls U.S. news organizations? We know it’s corpora-tions with a radical Leftist ideology. An exception is One America News, providing content from the right-leaning conservative point-of-view, for which genuine Patriots are very grateful. OAN might avoid some topics, but hopefully will not follow Fox News to the Left.
When the majority of U.S. news sources spoon-feed its audience everything from half-truths to no truth at all, that is unethical and Journalistic Malpractice.
Purveyors of news have a solemn obligation to report the WHOLE truth, because millions of people naively believe American “news sources” can be trusted. But, here’s the problem. Most Americans have not been taught to discern the difference between good and evil, or the difference between truth and lies. The U.S. media has been spitting-out FAKE news and political propaganda regularly for decades. This is unethical and Journal-istic Malpractice. You have a better chance of getting honest, impartial news from media sources outside the U.S.
There was a time when the “Free Press” was known as the Fourth Estate, meant to be the watchdog of govern-ment. Now U.S. media outlets protect the criminals who work in government. Our Nation is in trouble because the press can no longer be trusted to give us the truth.
Walter Cronkite was the first to spread anti-American views on TV. He did this each night in the 1960s and 70s. It’s a problem when a trusted news anchor can fool naive Americans. It was Cronkite who began the biased, agenda-driven newscasts, now the model for all U.S. news sources.
For a long time, corporate-controlled news outlets have been “bought and paid for” by special-interest lobbyists. This is unethical and Journalistic Malpractice. U.S. journalists happily cash their paychecks as they report whatever their corporate employer tells them. Conversely, foreign journalists willingly face death in order to get the truth out. A current example: ONE reporter is killed EVERY DAY in Gaza by the Israeli military.
Those who control the news, invent “catch-phrases,” or pick a word for every reporter to use incessantly. The first I heard this was when Bush W picked Dick Cheney for VP. Newscasters used the word “gravitas” constantly. In other words — every reporter got the MEMO. Another term journalists use over and over is “conspiracy theory.” Often it turns out to be a true conspiracy, not a theory.
Lack of ethics and Journalistic Malpractice also come into play when news people manufacture a con-troversy, often with a racist component. Their intent is to cause disunity in America, which creates more strife, and Voila! — more exciting news to report. It’s easy to get into the “journalism game” today. A wannabe reporter doesn’t need to be intelligent, professional, or even do investi-gation. They simply need to use “trigger words” like anti-government, militia, extremist, right-wing, sovereign, or MAGA. Today, most reporters are “activists,” not dissemi-nators of actual news. Their main objective is catering to the wishes of their corporate masters.
Government-funded stations like NPR and PBS push a narrative that is biased to the Left (big government) and Globalist. These two public media outlets are guilty of mis-conduct by NOT providing balanced programing for the public, who provide a portion of their funding.
The Associated Press is recognized as having sound information, but is another transgressor of ethical stand-ards. Their reporting often does not remotely resemble what happened at an event. They create their own alter-native reality, foisting it on gullible Americans, who then swallow it hook, line and sinker. This is unethical and Journalistic Malpractice of the highest order.
Articles about the U.S. news media must address the “elephant in the room” — the pro-Israel Zionist influence on mainstream media. Some say it’s total, and others say it’s zip. Two events involving Israel expose this influence. One was the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, where Israel commit-ted an act of war by attacking the USS Liberty. The other is the ongoing Israel/Hamas war, where Israel’s retaliation includes genocide against innocent Palestinians. The truth about both of these events has been swept under the rug. This is unethical and Journalistic Malpractice. Is this lack of honest reporting due to the pro-Israel Zionist influence on our American media? Only by seeking facts from foreign news outlets will you know.
There may be a “handful” of honest American report-ers, but it’s rare. Truth-tellers are in jeopardy of losing their jobs, so the honest journalists go independent. Those left in the news media do what their corporate bosses tell them — the truth be damned.
