(Comment);…Sadly, when we hear of another “Mass-Murder”, in America, the Anti-Gun advocates “Rise-Up” with a variety of proposals on how to “strip” or Deny our Citizens the use or possession of their Guns under the 2nd Amendment…..Do they understand that an individual might be / must be “Influenced”, “motivated”, and / or given a purpose (in most cases) (to pick-up a Gun)???!!!
…The (Influencing), message they might receive, before even seeing or touching a Gun might be the compelling or motivating messages they hear, or believe,…..coming from our deep-seated (MSM,) Media??? ….Would not that fall under the purview of the 1st Amendment????.,….NOT the 2nd Amendment!!!…..
…..Therefore America needs to ask and then to know, is the results of what is received via the 1st Amendment , a Tragic Spark, a Catalyst, that may be the (Real) motivating Factor, that influences some of these Tragic Murders???….More-so, then the tragic conclusions that includes an interpretation of the 2nd Amendment, and the “Harm” that it Causes???…..
…….Really, fore we may never “Find-a Cure”, if we do not address ALL the Links in the “Chain-of-Events.”

Mass Murderers in America;…Does the Fault really lie with the 2nd Amendment, or is the Truth, (In-Part) due to the Irresponsible use of the 1st Amendment??
….I can only begin with what I know. The Charles Manson Killings (1969) appeared to Generate a Media Hysteria, that continues to this day. The Media, Nation-wide, as well as Global-wide wanted to interview Manson. This (Media’s) obsession expanded into…..Documentaries, Movies, Profile studies and more, keeping Charles Manson in the Limelight, despite the fact, that the People’s Justice system kept him in Solitary!!!
Mutual Respect for our system of Justice didn’t seem to Impress or apply to the Media…..*He became “Larger-then-Life”, and more Infamous than Jesse James, or John Dillinger……You might say that America’s Media of the 60’s / 70’s, raised him onto an undeserved “Pedestal” of their own doing.
….I recall the “Push-Back” from the Public, on all the (Media), was doing to create their own version of an Evil-“Cult-God-like” image. The Media used the argument that all this coverage could help us understand the “Minds” of such People, and we could prevent future mass-killings of this type???…..Well America, How Did that WORK-OUT, For Us???….Did all the “Media-profile-worship” of Manson, prevent future mass-killings or did it just increase Media-Ratings, which in-turn,–created Media-Profits–$$$…???
***The Media was practicing or Abusing “Free-Speech” derived from the 1st Amendment, and Charles Manson, suddenly had “Fans”, marriage proposals, and those who Idolized him. How dangerous did that “1st Amendment” practice (compliments of the (MSM) Media)- become???….History and follow-up studies show that many who became Bloody Murderers, wanted to be “Famous”, and access the recognition capabilities that our Corporate-Media provided…..One thing for sure, that after 1969, we gave a “New-Meaning” to the words “Fame-Seekers”….After-all, People (now) seeking Attention, had an “Idol”, a “Goal” to achieve,….the (now) Infamous- “Charles Manson”….
….America has to ask,…. did our (“Free-Speech”)- Media develop a purpose for future Murderers to achieving the Attention they needed???……The Notoriety, the Infamous place-in-History, they Hungered for???…Could not some of this resulted from the potential “abuse” of the rights granted under the 1st Amendment, by the Largest “Pen & Voice” in America???….America needs to know before they are Inflicted with Guilt, from the same Industry, that couldn’t wait to Profile the Infamy of these Murderers!!!
Excessive Attention, and Goals that now seemed achievable to those Undeserved, by those we (MSM),Trusted???……That form of Weaponry sounds far more Dangerous, because undue Influences, with misguided and greedy pursuits, gave “Purpose” to those to (possibly) “Wanting-to-Kill”, before they even picked-up any form of Weapon??…
…..A Gun just lays there with NO purpose or intent, until a Human, possibly Influenced by a desire-of-Infamy and recognition drives them to pick it up and KILL?….How is that a Guns’ Fault?
Final Thought;….All Rights under our Constitution come with Responsibilities. There are NO Absolutes!!….That (especially), includes Major Corporations, as well as the Citizens. The Courts and the Legislator’s, (should they ever grow into Adulthood), need to standfast, and remind everyone of the Limitations of such Freedoms, as we are Unable to remind ourselves……So very Sad!!!

Did you (the Public) know that from 1996 to 2011, we had 83 titled shows on Television that essentially re-played Real-Crimes,/ Murders as Documentaries, with some “Re-enactments” of parts of the Crimes committed??…..83 shows….For what purpose???…To Educate us,(???), or were they were playing on our “Voyeuristic-leanings”, and “Nosey-Nature” for (high), Ratings & $$$ (Big), Profits-$$$??….
….Wouldn’t it be Fair to say that such a “Media-Sunami” of Crime-shows Desensitizes People to the Horrors of taking someone else’s Life???…..You must decide America, as the “USE” of the 1st Amendment seems to have a Festering “Gray-Cloud” of Abuse” Hovering over this Country.

***2nd Amendment;….I have not forgotten America’s concerns over the “Gun-issues” paragraphed in our 2nd Amendment. I have always presented the scenario that if you laid a Gun in front of each individual, in the Country, and they chose NOT to pick it up, then it is Nothing more than an inanimate instrument. It has potential Danger, which can only become a Reality, if Human Hands grasp it. Once again the primary factor is the action of the Human,…and what influences them…….NOT the Weapon.
When and if you see another Human reach and pick-up the Gun, it has to come from some “Influence or message” the Gun-Handler has received, learned, or wants to transfer to others. Perhaps his / her desire to be recognized, respected, and acknowledged has become difficult, (for the average American,) in a World where we Worship anyone who’s been on Television, or Front-Paged National News, and can be seen around the World,….even like other Mass-Murderers……Compliments (maybe) of our (MSM-Media)???…..America must decide!!!

What differentiates a serial-killer from a murderer? Both of them kill… but both kill for very different reasons; with murderers their actions are either a crime-of-passion, an act of aggression, or a spontaneous action in a fit of jealousy, need or greed, where-as although serial killers are also compelled to kill, they have an innate ability to blend into their surroundings, to pre-plan, to find order amidst the chaos and (sometimes) – if needed – the ability to bottle-up their volatility, where-as for the rest of their days, they can appear like just a regular person, just like one of us.
What follows is the first part of a series of interviews with some of the world’s most infamous serial killers so you can get a better sense of how they were perceived by their victims and followers as either powerful, alluring and messianic, or intelligent, caring and compassionate, even when they were not, which is what makes serial killers so fascinating.

Theodore Robert Bundy; an American serial killer, kidnapper, rapist, burglar and necrophile who assaulted and murdered 30+ women and girls (although the true figure may never be known) across seven states between 13th August 1961 and 9th February 1978. Bundy was executed by electrocution on 24th January 1989, aged 42. It is believed that much of Bundy’s anger towards women stemmed from his illegitimacy.

Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer: dubbed “The Milwaukee Cannibal”, Dahmer is an American serial killer, rapist, necrophile and cannibal, who raped, murdered and dismembered 17 young men and boys between 18th June 1978 and 19th July 1991 in Ohio (Wisconsin). Dahmer was convicted of 16 life sentences, but was beaten to death on 28th November 1994 by fellow inmate Christopher Scarver.

Stephen Port: dubbed “The Grindr Killer”, a British serial killer and rapist who is currently (one of 71 prisoners) serving a whole-life sentence, having murdered at least four gay men by luring them to his East London flat for drug-fuelled sex using GHB and making their over-doses look like suicides. Convicted in November 2016, the Police are investigating 58 other suspicious deaths.

Edmund Emil Kemper III: dubbed “The Co-ed Killer”, he is an American serial killer, necrophile, kidnapper and (possible) cannibal, who – between 27th August 1964 and 20th April 1973, which includes an earlier prison term – murdered 10 people, including his own paternal grandparents and his mother. Ed is easy to identify being 6 foot 9 inches tall and has a remarkably high IQ of 145.

Issei Sagawa: although not a serial killer, Issei Sagawa (known as Pang) is a murderer and necrophile, who in 1981 whilst in Paris, shot and cannibalised his Dutch classmate Renée Hartevelt. Upon his arrest he was committed to Matsuzawa mental hospital, but with the charges having been dropped in France and unable to be convicted in Japan, Issei was free, and after his release he became a minor celebrity.

Joel Rifkin: dubbed “Joel the Ripper”, he is an American serial killer who between 1989 and 1993 is believed to have murdered and dismembered 17 victims in New York City and Long Island, as well as (possibly) a few more at the Gilgo Beach murderers, but was only proven and charged with the deaths of 9. Rifkin is serving 203 years in prison.

Arthur Shawcross: dubbed “The Genesee River Killer” and “The Rochester Strangler”, Shawcross murdered 14 victims, most of whom were prostitutes but some were also children, between 7th May 1972 and 28th December 1989 in Rochester and Watertown (New York). He was charged with 10 counts of murder, sentenced to life in prison, but died of a heart attack on 10th November 2008.

John Wayne Gacy Jnr: dubbed “The Killer Clown”, is an American serial killer and rapist, who – whilst posing as a respectable business man, charity worker and children’s entertainer – tortured and murdered at least 33 young men and boy at his home in Cook County (Illinois) between 1972 and 1978, until their feted remains were discovered under his floorboards. Gacy was executed by lethal injection on 10th May 1994.

Charles Manson: an American cult leader of the Helter Skelter cult dubbed “The Manson Family” who – under his orders, believing him to be a deity and divine leader – committed nine murders between 18th May 1969 and 10th August 1969, most notably actress Sharon Tate. Manson is currently serving nine life sentences at Corcoran State Prison (California).

Dennis Nilsen: dubbed “The Kindly Killer”, a British serial killer and necrophile who between 30th December 1978 and 26th January 1983, lured at least 15 young men to his flat (many of whom were homeless) and after food, alcohol and sex, strangled them in their sleep and dismembered their bodies. Richard Ramirez: dubbed “The Night Stalker”, he was an American serial killer, burglar and rapist, who between 10th April 1984 and 24th August 1985, broke into numerous apartments in the San Francisco area and murdered 14 people using a variety of weapons including guns, knives, a machete, a tyre-iron and a hammer. He was sentenced to die in the gas chamber but died of B-cell lymphoma on 7th June 2013.

World Trade Center
Sayfullo Saipov, a suspected terrorist, plowed through a busy bicycle path near the World Trade Center memorial in Lower Manhattan on Oct. 31, 2017, fatally striking eight people.
Virginia
Also in August 2017, James Fields plowed his car into a crowd of protesters, killing one and injuring 19 after he attended a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Va.
Times Square, NYC
Richard Rojas was allegedly under the influence of marijuana laced with PCP when he drove his car onto a busy Times Square sidewalk on May 19, 2017, killing a Michigan tourist and injuring 22 people.
Ohio
In November 2016, Abdul Razak Ali Artan, a Somali-born student at Ohio State University, crashed his car into a crowd of pedestrians, wounding 14, before getting out and stabbing several of them with a butcher knife.
