A 27-year-old attorney has shot to TikTok fame thanks to her hilarious readings of court transcripts featuring a mix of outrageous — and, at times, baffling — comments from judges, lawyers, and defendants.

Amber Les, from California, who goes by the username @rebmasel, has more than 657,000 followers on the platform, where she shares videos about being a lawyer in the U.S., including her ongoing ‘Reading Iconic Court Transcripts’ series.

The lawyer, who was sworn in last year, started posting the viral clips back in March 2021 after a ‘horrible’ week of depositions, explaining in the caption: ‘I needed the serotonin.’

She filmed the first video while lying on her couch wearing what have come to be her signature rhinestone sunglasses, starting with a ridiculous exchange between a lawyer and witness.

‘Lawyer: What happened then? Witness: He told me, he says, “I have to kill you because you can identify me.” Lawyer: Did he kill you? Witness: No,’ she read.

She went on to quote an attorney who asked a doctor: ‘Is true that when a person dies in his sleep, he doesn’t know about it until the next morning?’

The bizarre question prompted the witness to ask: ‘Did you actually pass the bar exam?’

The TikToker burst into laughter before she read the final transcript, which documented a farcical misunderstanding between a lawyer and witness.

After the attorney asked: ‘What gear were you wearing in at the moment of impact?’ the person replied: ‘Gucci sweats and Reeboks.’

She continued to delight fans by posting more videos in the series, and by June, she was on her seventh transcript reading.

One comical exchange came from a lawyer and a woman named Mrs. Jones. When the attorney asked her if she believed she is emotionally stable, Mrs. Jones replied: ‘I used to be.’

Someone else who was serving as a defendant in his own case actually asked a witness: ‘Did you get a good look at my face when I took your purse?’

And there was a  judge who blasted one person’s credibility in court, saying: ‘If Singh were to have testified that the world was round I immediately would have sought membership in the Flat Earth Society.’

Another judge griped that a trial ‘would have made the jury more confused than a hungry baby in a topless bar.’

The more videos @rebmasel posted, the more followers she got. Her tenth clip in the court transcripts series has been viewed a whopping 5.1 million times.

She started the TikTok by reading a transcript of a judge asking a defendant why he needs a continuance, which is a suspension or postponement of a trial or court proceeding.

‘My baby is in the car,’ he replied, prompting the concerned judge to ask: ‘Sir, who is the car with your baby?’

‘Why does everyone ask that?’ the defendant hit back.

Another defendant was quoted as saying: ‘I make a decent living selling drugs. I don’t need to steal a Mountain Dew.’

By the end of 2021, @rebmasel had a total of 17 videos in the series. On Thursday, she posted her 18th, marking the first of 2022.

‘Justice Breyer may retire, but I do not,’ she joked, referring to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s recent retirement announcement.

The TikToker kicked off the clip by quoting a court to a defendant with an apparent foot fetish.

‘If you’ve got a girlfriend or a white and you want to sit at home and lick her feet all day long and suck on those nasty toes, that’s up to you. But you can’t walk up to people in a store and do that. You know that, right?’ she read.

The defendant responded: ‘Right.’
