There is one investigative reporter that has been around and observing the picture behind the scenes longer than most (or all) of the rest. Over the past five decades, Pat Shannan has compiled riveting investigative information that was little known to the public at the time and is even lesser known today. His first book, The Banksters, displaying the surreptitious power wielded behind the throne, is out of print, but Shannan has never shunned away from this premise that the power of legal tender wields the power to do everything else; most of which is detrimental to the liberty and livelihood of the rest of us. However, the good news is that almost everything that was in Pat Shannan’s first book is multiplied and reinforced with additional information in his newer publications over the past quarter century.
I Rode with Tupper is Pat’s introduction to the dark-side facts of the early forming of a federal police state against the American citizenry, an unrecognizable fact at the time that has now become obvious. More than that, it is a walk through little-known American history while giving an on-the-spot report of that infamous government hammer coming down against another American citizen whose only crime was speaking the truth too loudly.
I Rode With Tupper ($20 retail) is a recitation of Shannan’s memoirs while ‘on the run’ with famed political dissident F. Tupper Saussy. “It ought to be required reading in order to graduate high school,” says one current political prisoner, “but many high schoolers can’t even read.”
Here is the story of writer F. Tupper Saussy and his flight from federal persecution. Early during his disappearance into the underground, Saussy contacted his trusted friend for help. Author and journalist Pat Shannan tells of their traveling together and secret affiliation during Saussy’s 10+ years spent in hiding and his own education with an excellent mentor that few can ever claim. The money facts and walk through history in this book are as current today as the day they were written.

Here is what the readers are saying:
This book is a must read for anyone that comes across it!
Horror stories of corruption and incompetence in the IRS have been in the news recently and bear out what “One In A Million” is all about. Facts that were discovered have been woven into a story about an all-American family who achieved their dream only to see that dream become shattered and disillusioned when the IRS persecutes them with false accusations.
Every REAL American should read this book.
Although this book is labeled as “fiction” I suspect otherwise.

Pat Shannan uses his storytelling talent to combine mystery, suspense, truth, and history into a great novel.
One In A Million is a historical novel filled with suppressed truths and historical facts about the hoax of the tax system. It’s a gripping story of family, courage, truth, tragedy, and violent retribution.
One In A Million is much more than a crime story. It is a priceless education of our tax system and banking system. It is a compelling, convicting, and awesome story of the hypocrisy of the Internal Revenue Service.
I recommend One In A Million to everyone! Courageous work from a talented writer.
ONE IN A MILLION IS TRULY ONE IN A BILLION.
ONE IN A MILLION
This book provides an insight into the inner workings of an evil intershadow government that affects our lives on a daily basis. Thank you Mr. Shannan for a wake-up call to all Americans.

Review: ONE IN A MILLION: An IRS Travesty, by Pat Shannan
Review by Steffan Bertsch, Oregon Attorney
Occasionally I have been asked to review books, but, rarely do I give an unsolicited assessment of one. I am making One in a Million by Pat Shannan the exception. It’s a fact-laden piece of “fiction” about the IRS gone mad, and, while this might shock some, has set up mafia-style hit squads in the CID with the Commissioner’s tacit approval! While most of you know full well that “government” agencies would never do such a thing, that’s exactly what this book dares to reveal.
Shannan sprinkles the enjoyable, fast-paced novel with many esoteric facts, long hidden from view of the sleeping public, such as those revealed in “The Franklin Cover-Up” about our beloved George Bush being involved in an adolescent sex ring while holding the office of VICE president. Any freedom-loving American will appreciate the veiled references to modern heroes such as Richie Mack and courtroom tyrants like Jack Tanner, and will also enjoy the express bolstering of Tupper [Saussy]‘s and Irwin [Schiff]‘s reputations as the writer explains how freedom was lost as fiat money invaded our borders.
It’s a spry read that is perhaps more fantasy than actual fiction, which might just get through to some sleepers, if ever it reaches their hands. You can order this trade paper book from any store that is supplied by Ingram, which is nearly every bookstore in the nation. “One in a Million” will never sell a million, the New World Order will see to that, but it could be a mid-lister if some liberty-loving people pick it up, give it a once-through, then pass it along to one of the sheeple. Almost nobody believes the truth when he or she is told it, but by handing them a “fictional” work, some pieces of the puzzle might sift through their programmed “brains.”

THE MONTANA FREEMEN – The Untold Story ($15 retail – a $80 collector’s item at Amazon.)
Over the past century of the continuing unconstitutional monetary crime via America’s central bank known as the Federal Reserve System, no one came closer to exposing this fraud on the people than a group of western ranchers and businessmen known as “The Montana Freemen.” While criminally portrayed in the government-directed news media as a “hate group” (Dan Rather) closely followed by ABC-TV’s Ted Koppel’s ridiculous label of “race hustlers,” the Montana Freemen were mostly a wealthy group of ranchers and businessmen who (through their own exhaustive research and study) had determined a method by which to use against the system the same fraudulent methods that it was using against “We the People.”
Perhaps what the Freeman failed to grasp had been the lengths to which the money powers had grown. Perhaps they believed that they could get fair treatment under the law within the federal courts. They were wrong. They never had a chance, and it is one more example of a government system crushing any opposition that threatens its unlawful prosperity.
Pat Shannan spent a total of 18 days at the siege in Jordan and at the Montana Freemen Headquarters in Billings, talking both in person and more often by telephone with the jailed Freemen, learning exactly what their lawful stand was all about. The result was the untold story found here. HINT: It was but one more giant example of government suppression of evidence & justice and oppression of law-abiding citizens attempting to expose the government crimes and live lawfully.
Maybe the People Have the Answers — $19.99 retail
This is a different kind of book. Shannan presents the evidence of several cases, including the fraud of the “passing” of the 14th, 16th and 17th Amendments. Do you not understand the ongoing deception of federal government vs. the people and the States? Do you not understand how/why the news media always continue to be “accessories after the fact,” when it comes to government crimes? Here is your evidence in print.
This book is another little known expose’ of government suppression and oppression with documentary evidence of such cover-ups as the electronic vote fraud and the Dept. of Justice’s frame-up of Texas businessman Dick Simkanin, who later died in prison after refusing to perform IRS withholding duties not specified by law and for asking to see the law. The DoJ attempted twice to indict Simkanin but each time he had been notified of the proceedings, chose to appear before the grand jury to present his side of the story, and each time the grand jury chose not to indict. Finally, the deceptive U. S. Attorney, realizing that Simkanin’s truthful presentation of his case would never get an indictment, surreptitiously impaneled a grand jury behind closed doors, without giving the defendant an audience, and achieved his goal of bringing another honest businessman to trial. As a blueprint forerunner to the Edgar Steele trial a decade later, Dick Simkanin found himself being sold out by both his lawyer and the trial judge without the jury ever being shown the imaginary law that he “broke.” The jury foreman was also a party buddy of the judge. Simkanin ended up with a 129-year sentence and eventually died in prison.
Another little-known crime and cover-up is that of DC lawyer Warren Richardson and Sen. Orrin Hatch attempted to bribe Bill Benson (co-author of The Law That Never Was, re. the unlawful passing of the 16th [income tax] Amendment) with a bribe of “becoming a multi-millionaire” if Benson would only cease the sale of his book and pass the remaining copies on to him to be destroyed. The whole offer was heard and sworn to by affidavit here in print by Pastor Greg Dixon of the Indianapolis Baptist Church.
Then there’s the first-hand witness testimony of seeing the electronic vote taking place right at the polls.
Yes, Maybe the People Have the Answers is definitely a different kind of book.
The Miracle on Main Street & Caveat Against Injustice – ($25 retail) Two books in one.
“And MOMS is what spurned my first ‘ride with Tupper,’” says Pat Shannan today, but what began his ride down this ‘lawful money trail’ was his ‘introduction’ to Roger Sherman, who was one of the founding fathers that few ever heard of today. Before Tupper passed away on 3/16/07, he melded his MOMS with the reprint of the Sherman classic A Caveat Against Injustice under one cover, so here we have two classics for the price of one.
The Miracle on Main Street by F. Tupper Saussy is easy to describe. It is simply the best book ever written to help young people and the average citizen understand the pitfalls of America’s fraudulent, 20th century evolvement from the founders’ Lawful Money into the counterfeit of legal tender.
Saussy’s masterpiece sold over 100,000 copies in six printings without (of course) any help from the national media or corporate bookstores. A remarkable feat!
Tupper Saussy (1936-2007) was Shannan’s mentor and, before he died, this Seventh Edition melded the masterpiece of his deceased “mentor,” Roger Sherman’s Caveat Against Injustice, under the same cover with his own.
Roger Sherman (1721-1793) of Connecticut signed more of the founding documents than any other man in the 1770’s and 80’s, yet always remained one of the least known in the modern history books. Tupper always maintained the reason for this was that the modern controllers of information simply did not think it a good idea to popularize the man who inserted the protective 17 word in Article I, Section 10 of the Constitution: “No State shall make any Think but gold and silver coin a tender in payment of debts.”
Highly respected by his peers, Sherman was “honest as an angel,” according to John Adams, and Thomas Jefferson said he was a man “who never said a foolish thing in his life.”
