What the Hell had I done? As it turned out, My secret clearance had been revoked by the FBI ! REASON= It was found in my check by them I had an overdue library book 2 1/2 years prior. (Before even joining the Coast Guard).
I had to get a certified letter from my mother sent to the local FBI agent certifying that she in person had witnessed me depositing the said book in the night book depository at the library as she had given me a ride to do so.
SO I beat an FBI RAP IN A COMBAT ZONE WITH A NOTE FROM MY MOMMIE !
