A Plea for help from Sheriff Richard Mack
In my career as a peace officer, sheriff, author and speaker I have often spoken on the importance of freedom and liberty, but very rarely have I had the powerful and meaningful experience of helping to restore liberty to another person. I think I’ve had that opportunity two or three times at most. Well, it happened again just a couple of days ago.
Do you remember the Chief of Police from New Mexico who was fired and his entire police force terminated the very day he returned home from the CSPOA conference in January of this year? We wrote about it in our newsletter following the event, and since that time he and his family have had a difficult road indeed.
Only two weeks ago he was arrested for “rape, extortion, and kidnapping.” We cannot delve too deeply into all the charges right now, but suffice it to say that several of us have examined the complaint as written by the supposed victim and it is obvious the elements of the crimes she alleges against Chief Harger are entirely non-existent.
Very soon after I attracted media attention by standing up to the Feds on the Brady Bill issue back in the early 90’s, a woman came forward and accused me on completely false charges of sexual misconduct. It seems to be just one of those games people play; they see somebody on the ropes and think, “Hey, I can take advantage of this situation!”
Chief Harger was being held on $250,000 bail. After reviewing the case and the grand jury indictment, we were moved to protect and defend this good man and his family. Moreover, we were more than a little concerned about Chief Harger’s safety and treatment while in jail. So we moved heaven and earth to get him out!
The CSPOA and Oath Keepers combined our resources to post a bail bond of $25,000 for our friend and member in good standing, Shane Harger.
Chief Harger and his wife called us last night to thank us for saving them and for having their backs. It was a very touching and emotional conversation. We do have his back and we knew that each of you would have ours for what we did. We believe Chief Harger and his wife will win this battle and then be able to repay the CSPOA and Oath Keepers. We’ll then be able to “pay it forward” again to someone else; perhaps you or your family.

Harger’s attorney issued a statement Thursday to address the charges:
“Mr. Harger is innocent of these charges and that will be proven as this case moves forward. This is yet another instance where police officers must be forever vigilant when they take people into custody. The fact that the alleged victim in this case did not testify before the grand jury panel is telling about her own credibility.”

Do you want the skinney on this? Jemez was taken over by a bunch of out of control backwoods hillbillies. The bigmouth state cop says that he does not know why the car was stopped. That is a load of it. The little gem was in a car with individuals who had just bought heroin and the confidential informant with them was witness to the buy and the fact that the crack head who started this had bought heroin and were in possession of syringes. They were stopped because it was part of the sting operation. That car was coming back to the village with heroin in it and the chief was waiting for it. The so called victim’s boyfriend was indicted for the narcotics and all of the sudden weeks later this allegation is made. The funny thing is that during a village meeting this so called victim thanked the chief for helping her and apologized for her conduct. John M. and the mayor stabbed this man in the back. Every drug dealer and burglar was put in jail in a matter of weeks by this man and it caused a lot of pressure on people who knew these criminals to make the heat go away so that their little village could go back to being a meth lab and crime haven without the seeing eye of a police department. That little bar is major hub for narcotics between Los Alamos and Albuquerque. Every criminal that was up to no good cried and complained about the laws being enforced including the secretary who likes to grow pot.
The chief got into a tiff with the sheriff who did a favor for his TSA buddy by taking the Chief’s commission away. It was evident that the sheriff was pissed off that Harger didn’t take it and stood up for himself. It is no coincidence that the ink was not even dry on the indictment, and they go arrest the guy. I am sure they could have let him turn himself in but a few evil vindictive people wanted payback. It is no coincidence that the two heads of the departments responsible are friends who have ties to some pretty shady deals from a few years back and this is why this happened so viciously. This is how the corrupt try to avoid lawsuits and shut people up.
Ask the village where their evidence is and why they would lose evidence coincidentally.
This whole thing stinks to the highest heaven and will play out in the sheriffs election. -
